2.0 zetec blacktop..

Gday fellow enthusiasts, my 2.0 blacktop engine cover has just developed a 100mm crack along the edge, about 5mm up from the gasket joint. No oil leak yet. Has anyone else experienced something like this. cheers Peter.

    I've heard that the plastic covers leak due to flexing etc but not cracked !
    Retro fit the older silvertop cover if you can find one, all the problems go away then.

    They are well over priced for what they are and there's some d!cking about to get it all to fit. I was almost going to buy one but thort money could be better spent on go fast parts than pretty up parts !!
