mk1 V6 bonnet required :(

Hi guys,

Appologies for creating another thread, but this one may be noticed more than in the projects area.
Would anyone have a V6 bonnet, mine is buckled due to flying up (twice mind you) and the panel beater asked if I can try to find one.

Cheers!

They must be awfully rare as I was quoted $6,000 for a new Genuine one which made the eyes "glaze over" with disbelief. Never been able to find a good original steel one after 6 years of looking. Rang the guy back a few days later re the $6G nos and he said he had a few fighting over it ......and of course sold.

    I'm still searching for V6 Bonnet, F/Guards and Boot-lid!

Hard to believe with so many Mk1 Capri made worldwide that so few panels are to be found !

Don't know where you live but have to tried to find a workshop like Peter Tommasini's?  There are people who are great at metal work, you just have to find them.

Thanks guys. I always thought I would possibly need one, but stayed in denial. I tried looking on Ex-pressed but I can't seem to find them.
The panel beater can do it but the labour involved is why he said to try and ask around.

xpressed have a bonnet in their side diagram, but no price.  Motomobil have them for $834 plus freight.

To me it looks OK, the riser is good. Where the back corner punchered through the scuttle it caused a ripple effect which also pulled a bit of the skin out of the folded seam (down the side) Sorry I dont know the correct terms.

If you find one I would be interested buying the buckled one to put my metal work skills to the test.
