ford capri

Hi guy,s I was after 2 mk1 v6 4spd manual gearbox clutch boot,s I have 3 4clyd one,s that are of no use to me If anyone can let me know where I can get some regards mick,,0498174898

    Hi Mick,  I have four 4cyl clutch boots and one V6 one that should be on the car.
    I believe that these are extremely rare, hens with teeth are more abundant.
     
    Just looking at the V6 one next to the 4 cyl, the V6 is very similar design and twice the size.
     
    There is/was talk of getting them re produced but tooling costs and expected sales
    numbers as ever are the issue. I don't know if some other clutch boot may be a good fit?

    If you know your V6 will only be on bitumen roads in sunshine or light drizzle, then leaving this boot off will only help keep the clutch cool via the ONLY possible vent in the whole bell housing 
    If you still think there's a chance of getting rain or rubbish in via the throw-out fork and hole, make up a deflector plate with a hole and rubber grommet where the cable passes thru...........job done!
