Car Hoists - 11 different models - Brisbane and Melbourne Warehouse.

Hi Classic Ford,

Glenn ok'ed this post so here goes.

A long term friend of mine set this business up four years ago in Brisbane.  He went to China a lot and started looking at a hoist for his own use.  He found a company he could work with, engaged an Australian Engineer to better their current design and started importing.

He made a lot of improvements. some of which;

Above CE standard using Australian Standard design concepts.
Unique Australian design carriage with extra gusseting.
Unique Australian design arms with extra gusseting.
Steel hydraulic lines.
Dual stage screw up pads that can be extended.
An external 3rd party Mechanical Engineer inspects all critical welds prior to powder coating (in addition to the companies internal QA).
Straight C02 welding gas instead of an argon mix (better penetration but not as pretty).

Through word of mouth and gumtree/ebay he began advertising and gets great feedback;

I am now involved in the business with a Melbourne warehouse and future showroom.  For the price point (starting at $2190.00 for a two post floor plate 4 tonne hoist) there is not a better hoist.  We do not pretend to be as good as the Aussie made Molnars etc (at 2-3 times the price), but we are miles better than some of the other chinese hoists imported via other companies.

For every hoist sold through Classic Ford I will donate $100 direct to the running of the forum, I will also offer you guys a discount by including free car ramps (great for hoisting super low cars) or a free 30L oil drain ($139 value).  Call me on 0417167885 or email lincoln@happ.com.au

    Hi, Lincoln,
    I like the look of 2 or 3 of your wares, do you have some Setup,?? ... i'd like to see them in the flesh. Where is your warehouse.?? ...Post an address and Phone/Mobile so i can touch base, so can other members.!! ...It's a bad time of year, everyone is flat out like a lizard drinkin, what's purchased is always controlled by Need or desire, Will i buy this or that, i think Procrastination takes the cake, if i don't see you before Xmas, Have a Kool Yule & a Frantic First, I think you'll start getting sales from February on, hope you have a profitable 2016.
    Cheers Geoff

    I like the idea of the moveable/mobile 2 post hoist, but would be worried about stability, especially if I was putting some oomph into suspension work or similar. How stable/safe are they?

    Cheers

    Haha I know what you mean.

    Warehouse is in West Heidelberg.  Showroom will be in Thomastown.  I have a few setup that customers have bought already that we can view.  In the warehouse you can see their quality.

    I plan on setting up three hoists in the showroom - when that happens I will invite the club to come for a BBQ/use the hoists/have a beer.  Maybe run a regular thing each six months or so you guys can store up your hoist jobs to do on the night.

    Movable ones are just as stable.  Did one on the weekend for a Lotus Exige and that is probably the most unstable type of car to hoist.....

    The HAPP90 and HAPP95 are quite chunky and have as many anchors as the larger two post hoists.

    HAPP90 moved with a standard 180kg trolley.

    First HAPP90 Melbourne customer.  Did not need the ramps to hoist this low thing!  Nice car and nice fella.

    Wait till you see the hoist we are delivering this weekend!  A car truly fitting for Mo-vember.
