What fuel do you use?

Hi everyone, I was just curious on what fuel everyone uses in their Escorts/Cortinas/Capris etc. All of my Escorts are suppose to use Leaded and I know you can buy a lead replacement additive but I just use ULP91 without the additive. With there being ULP91, ULP95, ULP98 and E10 on the market today what would be best suitable? I'm also curious to hear if anyone uses E10 and if so how has it worked for them.

Back in the days of good old super before 1990 (at selected outlets)from memory it used to be 94ron , and we could check the tailpipe if running rich or lean by the lead/carbon color.
As for E10 is debatable if worth the extra , some shops sell it cheaper but the car burns more fuel to go the same distance ... well i do in my ST .. prolly cause I drive like a loon!!

Run my n/a YB on BP ultimate as much as I can & my twincam on BP ultimate plus 'octane supreme' a legal lead additive (not a lead replacement) Shell v-power doesn't seem to store so well in the tank over time.

I could be wrong but it was always my understanding that running unleaded required hardened seats? My pinto has unleaded hardened seats fitted and I use 95 RON because I have upped the compression a bit.

    "running unleaded required hardened seats?"

    Myth.
I have run my stock standard 1600 Mk2 Escort panel van as my daily driver on 91 since they stopped supplying super way back when.
If using high lift cams or stronger valve springs then is definitely a good idea to fit hardened seats if longevity is needed.

Shell Ultra V in both the KIa Proceed GT and Escort. Escort has pinto with flowed head and hardened valve seats, big cam, running 11,5.1 compression with EFI. all round
