Couriers for postage from UK to Australia?

Hi everyone, I found a complete standard MK1 Escort exhaust in good condition for near nothing which I'm interested in but it's located in the UK. When I contacted the seller they said they were happy to wrap it up ready for a courier if I was to organise one. Only thing is I have no idea where to even start looking for a suitable courier. I have priced a new exhaust and got quoted $850 but if I can get a second hand one which is still in good condition for a lot less it would be good. Does anyone know what couriers to look at to get an idea on how much I'll be looking for in postage? Thanks

    You will need to ask the sender for the name of the suburb to be picked up, the postcode and an exact size and weight of the consignment.
    Then simply google "UK to Australia couriers". Just go to their website and ask for a quote. In most cases the website will give you an immediate price. Prices will vary between companies significantly. Some companies will be cheaper with smaller shipments, some cheaper with larger shipments. You may find it is cheaper to arrange payment from the UK end rather than from this end. It will also depend on how fast you want the goods to arrive. A good starting point is ParcelBroker - UK.

    I use Parcels2go.  UK freight is expensiveyou will need to know the box dimensions and the weight to get an online quote

    Hey if it helps im a pom, find out where they are located, they might be able to post it to my parents or brother and they could forward it on. Just be carefull and find out what the max length is they will take if you post, as i know with australia post it is 1m. Somebody also told me tnt have taken on a lot of postal duties in uk so that might be you best bet. Make sure you get: packed weight, length x width x height to get a correct price. TNT do like overcharging if this info is not smack on
