Love the additional shots including underneath, goes to show the amount of work done.....
The black rear blind gives it a truly professional finish off, where did you get it from??? was it expensive???

Hi Kerry,
I just can't stop looking at your BEAUTIFUL WILD PLUM CAPRI pictures you post !........please keep them coming
till every square inch inside out and under is pictured ! ........it inspires me to do same to mine !
I would never change the orig colour on any Classic, esp since I reckon the "Wild Plum" colour is fantastic.
I aspire that I live long enough to do the same to mine which is also original from 1972 in "Wild Plum"
kind regards
Bernie
ps to all concerned.........50th Anniversary in 2019 should be in a Central Location like Albury/Wodonga/Gundagai or no further north than Woollongong imho

A very nice looking Wild Plum Capri, but I'm now happy that I have a Mk.3 2.8i to 'play' with although acquired under very difficult circumstances.

Bernie (and others) it's 453 k's from Melbourne to Wagga Wagga and 457 k's from Sydney to Wagga Wagga, can't get more central than that! Given that the great majority of participants are from either Sydney or Melbourne, the 50th celebration has to be in Wagga Wagga and it should be held on the Easter long weekend of April 19-22, 2019. I'll see you there!

Current ride:
'83 Mk.3 Capri, 2.8i, 5-spd

Yes Kerry, I agree; Wagga Wagga sounds perfect...............that's a great looking Mk3 you have there.
I loved watching that car driven by Dennis Waterman in the 70's in an English series that I think was called "Minder" or the "Avengers" ?
Do you still own the Mk1 Wild Plum Capri ?
cheers
Bernie

Bodie & Doyle in the Professionals. There was also a Mk 3 in one episode of Dempsey & Makepeace.

Steve Watters Wild Plum Capri changed hands a few times in quick succession and was stolen at one point.  It was recovered but had some front damage that was repaired but poorly.  Ken bought it a few years back from a guy who had begun restoring it but needed cash, so a guy from Rowville way bought it from Ken and set about restoring it.  Last I saw it was driving and registered but the guy and the car have not been seen a few years.  Rare car that one, Auto with a factory sunroof (once owned by Phil D)
