Ford Focus buyer advice

Hi guys
I'm searching for a used Focus. 2008 Automatic hatch. Is there a particular year that is better than others, or are there models/ features, I should avoid for whatever reason?

    Not sure what year they changed, but, check the Ford warranty history if it has a DSG type box, our 2011 focus has been back 6 times
