I expect it depends on the power level of the motor. For a standard motor I would say def not worth it.

Mandrel bends may add 10 Percent better performance on an exhaust which only offers a 5 percent gain in engine performance. mandrels adding 0.5% benefit for 3 times the price. For a road car to mild modified pinto Id suggest quality press bends are fine and pocket the extra money for another mod.
Of course you cant then claim mandrel bent pipes, but Who cares...?

traditionally the radius arms are fitted to the top of the diff to reduce rotation or wind up under acceleration and cornering. they usually are mounted parallel to the leaf to minimise binding. I think the way they are fitted still reduces wind but at the cost of additional bind.

Yeah what JP said.  I cant see them doing anything useful the way they are mounted.  The mounts on the diff are supposed to be on the top of the housing not the bottom.  You have to remove the factory sway bar mounts to fit them.
The bars themselves are right and the chassis mounts but the supposed purpose is to stop the diff tilting forward and back and axle tramping.  There is no way they could do that fitted like these are.

For the record, you are probably better off without them and fitting a decent set of leaf springs but that will trigger a whole lot of contrary debate so there you go ....

Back to the original point - Nice looking exhaust

    Make it go FASTER!

The radius arms fitted directly underneath will try & stop housing rotation just as well as being on top.
I don't know if it introduces any other problems, but there are plenty of old cars, including race cars, done that way.

    Cheers
