Rs2000 rear demister switch

Hey guys.

Did the mk2 rs2000 have a rear demister switch that lights up when it comes on, or does it have the non light up one ?

    Hi Dave,

The demister switch on the dash should light up red when on. But is very dim by today's standards.

    Thanks peter.

This confirmed for me that I needed to keep persisting.

After checking the wiring diagrams I have here, I could see that the rear demister relay (that I could clearly hear clicking when I turned the switch on), was meant to be delivering 12V+ to one side of the rear demister, AND to the +ve side of the bulb inside the switch at the same time. I knew that the rear demister was getting power, so the relay was fine.

A bit of fossicking around up under the dash revealed that I had neglected to plug back in the individual plug that delivered this power! (a grey connector). As soon as I plugged it in, everything worked as per normal.

    Thanks again

    Hi Dave,

I am having difficulty sending you a PM. :(
The reproduction brake booster rod grommets are now available.
