How to connect standard tachometer dash to ca18det

Anyone done this before?

Maybe it's similar to what some of the SR boys have done?

I really don't want to run a external tachometer so any help would be great

    On my SR20 we used the ECU tacho output connected directly to the escort tacho input
     
    But Get a 10k ohm resistor 0.5w - connect to back of standard escort tacho between 12v & tacho input
     
    Works perfectly
