New member thinking of escort project

Hi guys,
I'm looking at buying a MK1 escort 2 door which i want to do as a Mexico replica. As i think  all of the 2 door escorts here are type 49 body shells it would be a shame not too.
 I have researched bits and some parts especially interior bits seem hard to locate!
Does anybody know some sites/places to look at for these bits, IE dashboard to fit 6 dail clocks into, seats etc. I am not to bothered if the seats are not original spec as i know they will cost some serious coin if i want to go down that route!
I will also be looking at stage 2 head and kent 234 cam as she is a 1600 x flow lump. I will also be wanting twin 40DCOE webbers or Dellorto's. A luminition electronic ignition kit would be good too. I know i can get lots of this stuff from the UK but shipping is costly to say the least!!!!

    Welcome aboard I hope you go for it, I have a Mexy riplica the Mk1's are out numbered about ten to one on here so the more that are saved the better

    I know of a red mk1 2 door that is for sale in SA around the corner from my joint.  It looks pretty clean too, give us a nudge if you want to know more and Ill grab teh phone number off the window.

    Hi Yes i could well be interested. I have a mate looking at a car this week for me as im working away.  But If you could find out the number for me i would appreciate it always good to have a few cars to look at, and espescially compare prices!
