Bib Stillwell Capri

Hi Everyone, quick question regarding BS Capri. I have heard of a Bib stilllwell delivered 1970 Capri ,and it has a small silver BSS sticker in the engine bay.
What does that mean?

It's Bib Stillwell, not Bob.  There were a number of Bib Stillwell cars with varying mods, as for exact Capri number I am unsure.  From my understanding they were cars modded by the Bib Stillwell dealership and sold as special.  There was usually a badge placed on the boot in large letters saying "BSS", possibly elsewhere as well.   Some of the capri experts here should be able to give you production numbers and details of the cars.

Stillwell bought cars and added custom parts such as the over riders, side vents, radios.  If it was a Stillwell customised car he put a metallic decal in the engine bay and quite often a cast alloy badge on the bootlid.  In 72 he sold a few 165hp Specials, these had the 3000E running gear as Ford Aust ran out of drivelines and Ford UK were no longer making the oval port engines.   The decals are available from Rare Spares, the boot badges at swap meets

Hi thanks for the clarification, Bib Stillwell.
Looks like a genuine BS delivered vehicle, original owners book confirm this, also has the little silver sticker in engine bay (which looks about 40 years old).
Picking the car up tomorrow night, after a very long search for a GT V6.
May be able to post some pics over the weekend.
    Cheers

    Just a quick update.

Hot orange is slowly progressing after sorting  few minor issues out, nothing to serious.

And I added mate for it in the shed, picking up a  FPV BA MkII GT on thursday.

    Regards
