tire sizing on a 6in dragway four spokes rim

hi guys, can some tell me if 185 x 55 or 60 x 14 would fit on a 6in rim

reason im asking is because i bought brand new dragways four spokes for my mk2 escort van a few months ago and also bought 205 x 60 tyres for the front but havn't driven on them until today, as i was rebuilding the suspension with 30mm lowered springs,  anyways i finally got it all done today and drove it and scraped all the time,

the 205 x tyres sit flush to the outer edge of the guard and you have to sqeeze your fingers in on top of the tire to the guard, so theres no room between

my question would 185 x 55 or 60 fit on the 6in rim and would it be a good fit on the car? or do i have to get 13s

cheers

185's are prefect for a 6j wide rim.
If your using a 14" rim, you might want to go to a 50 profile if your car is quiet low, guards aren't rolled, and having some clearance issues.

thank for the reply mate, yeah the dragways are 14in, i have standard guards (not rolled or flared) i didnt know much about off sets so i trusted the people at dragway to do good offset for me for my mk2 van, rear are good but front wheels could of went in the arch another 1cm and still have back clearance, as i said the tyres sit flush with the outer edge of the guard so i think they would off been good for flareed guards

i had a look on ebay and i can not find any 50 series 185 x 14in,  only could find 55 which are around $90 mark or can get 60's around $50-60 each

Perhaps some guard rolling is in order then. It will fix a few problems.
But yes the offset is quiet aggressive.

    What about 195/50/14?
edit: sorry typo.. its 50 profile!!
