MK1 Project car Rolling Shell (SOLD)

Due to failing eyesight I am reluctantly offering for sale my Mk1. Price is  $21000 Negotiable, as I have spent over $30000 on it so far, so there is a bargain here for someone.
Ford Escort Mk 1 2 Door body, seam welded, bubble arched, gusseted, completely stripped to bare metal, then any blemishes taken out and totaly repainted in Rapid Yellow Ford colour, never been on the road as this is an unfinished project. Almost everything possible has gone into this rolling body, and most parts are brand new,
I will try to list all parts that have gone into this car as best I can, as I have spent over $30000 so far, but due to failing eyesight I am unable to finish it. Car will be sold minus an engine and gearbox.
Interior has had new laminated windscreen fitted and new Black headlining, new black carpets and underlay, New 3 master cylinder Pedalbox, used Scheel seats front and rear, 8000 rpm 140 mph 6 dial instrument cluster, extra instrument panel that sits on tunnel and has 4 gauges fitted, plus ignition button and fuel pump switch, plus Battery isolation switch. All door, window and boot seals have been replaced with new ones. Aluminium Race radiator.

The suspension is Bilstein Capri struts on the front which have been converted to coilovers with Alloy adjustable strut tops. Rose jointed Adjustable TCA's, Anti dive kit, Worl Cup Crossmember.  Rear end has english axle fitted with Tramp Rod kit, Watts linkage rose jointed, Brand new Tran X Limited Slip Diff 3.54 CWP. New fully adjustable(externally) GAZ  rear shocks.

Brakes on the front are Willwood 4 piston callipers and mounts, with vented cross drilled calipers, all unused, and hubs have long studs all round.
Rear brakes are R31 calipers and Audi discs.,
Wheels all round plus spare are 13 x 7 Superlites, brand new fitted with slightly used Yokahama semi slicks.  Spare has alloy post to mount in boot. Fuel tank is a brand new imported foam filled 12 gallon alloy tank and fittings, new electric fuel pump, fuel filters and braided hoses and all alloy fittings.. Lots of other parts that I cant remember at the moment..For further details contact me on (03) 9705 2791 for pics etc.

    Hi Geoff,

Cant believe your considering selling the car. I was looking forward to seeing this thing out cruising. Maybe if you do sell it you could get another MK2 to cruise around in. I know where one is that has not been driven in a long time! Very close to you as well . John

Yes I know the one you mean John. But unfortunately my eyes are that bad that I cant work or drive anymore. Thats the only reason I am selling. It breaks my heart really. I have put so much time and effort into that car.

Geoff, i must say your project is one of the reasons i keep visiting this forum every so often. Im really sorry to hear that the car must go.  You have done a fantastic job of it so far, and was always impressed by your attention to detail (and a tidy garage to go with it!). I was really hoping to see that cossie gear get put to good use, and no chassis more fitting than your mk1...

Just wanted to say all the best, both with your cars and your health.
    Nige.

Geoff, so sorry to hear of your health probs and that you have to get rid of that gem. When I bought that XR2 from you I wished that MK1 was in my shed. Such a lovely car. Must be heart breaking to have to see it go.

The car could be road registered, Yes, but you would probably have to put a few standard parets back into it to get it roadworthied.

    Hi Geoff,
Sorry to hear about your health problems. Hope life improves for you soon.
To one and all please help Geoff to sell this masterpiece.
I know that I would buy this in a heart beat were it not for a pending divorce.
If you are members of other forums please spread the word for Geoff.
You just never know who is looking for an outstanding car such as this.
    Cheers
    Craig
