headers glowing red




 
anyone know if this is normal?? there ceramic coated pacenaker big bores

    Doesn't look normal to me. First thing I would check is for retarded ignition timing. Here's a link with some more detailed info. http://www.smokstak.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70385

    On a dyno yes they will glow no matter what coating you put on them it's just that you're not normally standing over them watching them at full noise
    What I would be more concerned with is the fact that no.1 isn't glowing and that no.4 is glowing more because of the poor shape of the pipe coming off the head

    lol it runs too well to be down a cylinder but it getting dyno tuned next month ill get the timing looked at then

    Have a look at the plugs and take a pyrometer to the dyno with and check the tempretures just after the flange but I'll think you'll find that the poor shape and lengths of hte pipes will be the culprit

    The lack of ambient light around the rear of the engine probably makes No.4 more intense
