Steve's green machine.

Seeing as the project part of the car is over and it's now on the road I thought I'd enter the show room.

Fitted the spoiler today. Also wired in the tacho and fitted the shift light. Did a couple of other housekeeping jobs, including snapping off one of the fusebox terminals. Stupid thing. Took a whole five minutes to find a spare fusebox and swap it over. Was only fiddling with it on account of blowing the high beam fuse. Swapped out the speedo as the one fitted wouldn't read anything over 80kph and the trip meter was increasing all the numbers at the same rate. Going by the trip meter I'd be getting several thousand kms per tank of fuel.

Wrapped the extractors so the washer bottle doesn't melt. Still might get a piece of heat shield for the bottom to be doubly sure.

Tomorrows jobs are to swap the front chrome bumper for some quarters and to swap the rear chrome one for a black one. Plus i'll give the whole thing a good wash.

Only real problem I have with the car is that the exhaust note scares my daughter to the point of tears. She doesn't like when Dad makes noise.

Fresh out of the car wash. Only leak is through the drivers door seal up the top. Got a wet arm.

Living at the foothills of the Dandenongs has some advantages. Went down the end of the street and up the hill to Olinda then to Kallista and Belgrave and back home again. Only glitch was a throttle cable issue but it was an easy fix back home.

Good to see the car being used. Looks a lot better without the 2 inches of dust. Nice job Steve.
I have to agree with Glenn, think it's time for a long awaited cruise.

Ta. It does polish up quite nicely.

I'm still thinking it'll look better with a nice set of arches on it... Hmmm... Time to flog off some spares so I can invest in some shaped alloy..

    Looking good, Steve.
Time to organise another cruise, me thinks. Maybe the old Pakenham to Healesville run over the hills.

Sounds good. Either that or run down to Drouin then up over Neerim to Powelltown then Healesville.

Took this pic on Sunday at work. Green machine is doing well in its new role as paddock basher/occasional work car. Just needs a few more horses and a little bit less exhaust noise.

Was this the start line or finish line pic for the 1/4 mile?
Car looks great still Steve. When did you fit the front spoiler?
