M/C to firewall mod info

Hey fellas just thought id share some info...

I found that a master cylinder from a r30 skyline bolts directly to a mk2 escort's firewal.

ill put up a pic of it soon.

might be helpfull for those wanting to get rid of the booster without buying a pedal box.

    Hey Ez",

I had a look at the specs on this m/c and the size is 22.22mm.

No doubt it would work but as they are normally vaccuum assisted the strength needed would certainly be a great deal to get them to stop the car.

I am going to use an M/C from a 120Y that has a bore of 17.46mm which requires a great deal less force to get things to stop.

Though, some guys are running a 1inch (25.40mm) m/c unasisted so it may work out very well and the fact it just bolts up is another big plus.

Like everything I suppose it's what you have at your disposal and then just getting used to it.

    Good find though.

C u Sat.  If I can get a few things sorted I may bring the escort.

    Cheers,

    Matt
