English axle housing swap checks on RS

Hi all,
     Im looking to get a replacement rear axle for my MK2 RS as I think the housing/axle tube on the passenger side is bent ( its got some bad positive camber ) Anyway, If I get an empty diff housing what do I check on it to make sure its ok ie. bearing surfaces, seal surfaces, welds, etc. Can I simply unbolt my diff out, remove the axles and brakes and put them all into the new housing or will it need setting up/shimming by a diff specialist. Did the RS have any differences to the standard 2L diff such as swaybar mounts or are they the same
