Seats to fit a MkII

Hi guys,

I want to replace the seats in my road-going MkII with something a bit more modern and more comfortable.

I need to find something that has a flat bottom on the seat so that I can mount the original runners on the new seats.

I'd be very interested to know what people have used previously, what fits, and any other solutions.

Thanks in advance,

Peter

I got my seats of eBay for $80. I think they are called stratos seats from the 80's. As long as the base is flat then they shouldn't be too hard to fit. Just measure the base to ensure they'll fit as there is not much room in the escort.

I can't seem to get the pics up but you can see them in my thread.

    Cheers,

    Hi folks,

Has anyone got any updates on this topic? I've been told early Mazda 323 or Laser seats would suit (1986-1990 ish), or even Mazda Astina seats.

I'd rather not buy new unless they are reasonably priced, but would appreciate any advice.

    Thanks.
