Hi Guys,
I know this has been asked before but cant seem to find the right info i require. I have an early model hilux diff that i would like to install in my Mk1. I need help with the following.
1. whats the best disk brake option (R31 rotor and caliper is this combo any good?)
2. who can convert from drums to disks (Location Melbourne)
Your help is appreciated.

Disc options will depend on whether you are retaining 5 stud pattern of if you are converting to 4 stud. For 5 stud, I used ma? Supra discs. Easy job, remove all the drum brake parts and slip the disc over the end. Then fab a bracket for whatever calipers you decide. I went r31 as they were an easy option with the handbrake.

I have gone to standard Escort 4 stud using BMW 280mm rotors and R32 2-pot calipers.

    Hi shaun,

Thank you for your help, i would like to retain the escort 4 stud pattern, so what rotor would you recommend? Do you know of anyone that can supply mounting bracket for the R31 calipers?

    Hi MK1_Oz,

Do you have a part number for BMW rotor and was there any mods required to fit rotor?

To be honest I don't have a clue as all my work was done by Eurospeed.
