Need help....

hey all, i need some help.
two weeks after i bought my mk 2, i shattered the diff center after extreme axle tramp set in,
thinking it broke just being an old item, i put in my spare diff center which also lasted a little over a week....
i put the axle tramp down to the rear swaybar not being in the car so while i waited for my 45/45 tranx lsd i put a whiteline 16mm rear swaybar in the car. i am still getting axle tramp and i want it gone its costing me alot of money, first test drive with the tranx and swaybar resulted in this... crown pinion wheel destroyed, now i need to source another one... any "Good" idea to whats going on with this car?? thanks

your sway bar wont do a thing to stop axle tramp and i think a 16mm bar wiill not do much except lift the inside wheel around every corner you take.

Some decent leaf springs will stop the tramp. Mine has a brand new set of Fulcrum leafs with an extra rebound leaf and i never get tramp.

If you dont want to spend that much a pair of upper trailing arms with stop the tramp too but can influence some other handling issues as they tend to bind under load.

A simple yet often overlooked thing that causes axles to break is simply that used axles are put back in the wrong side. when they are new the left and right axles are the same but they 'work harden' over time and very much become left or right and will be very brittle if asked to work the other way.

Ask Gdub where he got his Fulcrums from or get in touch with Danny M and get him to order a set of his custom King springs.
