in need of new diff asap!!!!!

Gday guys, im really in need of a new diff, i have a 3.89 auto diff at the moment and its sounds like the centre bearings have **** themself!
Im after a early hilux diff as ive been told there the easier upgrade and will have alot more room to modify the diff, would i be able to get like 3.45 or 3.7 for a hilux diff though? and does anyone know someone in the frankston area that would be the man for the job? thanks

I believe that there is info on the correct diff/axle housing arrangement in the tech section.
For a std track +/- a few mm from memory the correct model hilux is RN20 or RN25 early model 1985 2wd Hilux.
The axles will need to be redrilled to suit 108PCD if u r staying with the escort 4 stud pattern.
There are heaps of options when it comes to ratios.
Whilst these diffs r very stong, they r also very heavy and the std lsd tends to fail under high HP applications, but again there are many choices when it comes to centres.
I have used one of these  in a rally car and will be using one again in my next rally car project.
There are many wreckers around your area so it might b worth a drive down dandy/frankston rd.
If you have any other question pls dont hesitate to ask, eventhough I dont profess to being an expert on these diffs I will always try and help or steer u in the right direction.
    Cheers
    Craig

I have a centre unit as pulled out when I installed a lsd. There's no cogs, just the open wheeler spool for $25. Sometimes your diff may need re setting with new brgs (not dear) and can survive another 30? Yrs.....driver style permitting !
