Hello! New on here- mk1 escort

Hi guys
My names Joel, recently bought a mk1 escort as a spur of the moment thing on eBay about a month ago
Needs a little bit of work, little rust cut out and plan to give it a respray
Currently has the 1300 motor but I've also purchased a 2l pinto with a mold cam and extractors off ebay to put in
Plans are to strip it
Paint it
Upgrade suspension and brakes
Then club rego and it'll b a weekender/track fun car
I'm located bayside Melbourne

    Nice one!

Just wait, the bug will bite and these small projects have a way of spiralling out of control.

It's not a bad thing though!

Good luck with the build and keep the pics coming.

I love it when someone is in your area and you try and work out where the car is by the houses :P

    Looks like fun. Good luck.

exactly what iwas thinking.  my project started out as a mild rebuild of the motor and a few nice bits for the interior. a nice street car with bout a 5k budget.  well 2 years later and its almost done. its now a track car with alot more than 5k spent.

good luck with your project though mate, i love the 2 door mk1's.   and dont worry if it spirals out of control, thats half the fun of building a car the way you want it.
    keep the pics coming
