SOLD: Big valve 2L SOHC Head

Hi guys,

another of my project parts that not putting to use. Made and purchased from chris pfeiffer.

This is the ultimate SOHC NA head. Follows David Vizard's specs. After doing lots research this is a great option if your looking to build a hot 2L NA SOHC.

Big valves 44.5mm inlet, 38mm exhaust (stainless steel)

Ported almost to the limit (compare to UK company link!)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-Pinto-Big-valve-/280489388894?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item414e786b5e#ht_7358wt_894

CNC combustion chamber

Valve guides k-lined

The head is flat and has has no cracks

Heads finished and flowed (at 10" water pressure)
Inlet
41.8 @ .100
75.4 @ .200
107.6 @.300
118.3 @ .400
125.9 @ .500

Exhaust
33.4 @ .100
57.3 @ .200
78.8 @ .300
91.7 @ .400
91.8 @ .500

Can't go wrong with this head that why I bought it. 8 of these valves are gonna cost you at least $30 each ($240), porting of this spec costs lots, then theres the CNC chamber and solid head.

Hope someone wants to put it straight to use or I'll either hang onto it or ebay.

$1000 firm

Can you elaborate on what you mean by CNC combustion chamber?  Has it been shaped using a CNC program and if so to what design?  CNC by itself doesnt really mean anything.  CNC work is only as good as what it has been copied from.

Has it had much shaved off the face?

    I might have some interest.....

Regardless of what CNC program was used, I'd say looking at the pictures that the chambers look good and this is a pretty good head.  Looking at the distance between the head surface and the spark plug hole that it has plenty left in it.
    A bargain for the money

Chris spent A LOT of time developing and building this head. As Woz has said, a bargain for the price. There is a thread on here ( I think) and certainly one on RSmotorsport following it's progress.

As the guys said it is a great head with lots of work put in by Chris.

Yes the combustion chamber is tig welded up I believe, then cut by CNC program to the desired shape. Sorry I wasn't clearer.

Here's the link to the R & D done on this head:

    http://www.rsmotorsport.com.au/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=463&p=2247&hilit=pinto+head+cnc+pinto#p2247

Not sure of the exact amount taken off the head. Can get back to you with a measurement if you want. Chris said it had a skim and has had 500km run on it since then.

I think this is a great option for tried and trusted results (know what your getting with flow figs)

I will end up using this myself if no one is interested but that's a way down the track and think it should be getting some use now.

Hope that helps, any more questions just ask
