Common problems with 87 Sierras

I am heading off to the UK and whilst there will be looking at a few Sierra Cosworths to bring back.

I have been doing some homework but would be great if people could post up common problems or tell tale signs with them to keep an eye out for.

    I remember reading a buyers guide for Cossies in either RetroFord or ClassicFord magazine a few years ago, will have a dig around and see if I can find it!

    There is a RS500 buyers guide here which has some relevance to the standard RS as well:

    I have a buyers guide sitting on my desk from an old mag. I'll scan it and post it up tomorrow.
    Bewdiful Moonstone pic btw... I just love the rims. Compomotive MO's if I'm not mistaken.
