Yamaha FJ1200 Bike For Sale

Hey Guys,

i know this is a bike for sale in the car section but i thought i would give the guys on this forum a head start.

the bike is a Grey Import1995 Yamaha FJ1200 (a biggish sports tourer) the bike itself runs great and has been looked after by myself and my dad for the last 6-7 years.

its not perfect fairing wise, having been dropped at a fuel station after slipping on oil dumped by a previous car, damage is a scraped fairing near handlebars, the duck tail has cracked and flaking paint and the clutch case cover had the back brake pedal pushed through it so i had a boiler maker weld up the hole, and that was 3 years ago no trouble since.
also the front guard had to be shortened a little due a "dog chew" incident.

good points:
- rides great
- has 90% rubber back and front
- chain and sprockets in good condition
- all electrical components work
- manual cruise control
- comfortable easy to ride
- strong engine and gearbox (the FJ12 motor is renown for its bullet proof design and longevity of life)

i have only ever ridden highway kays on this bike and know its good over long distances.

Reason for selling is that i haven't ridden it in the last 3 months (it gets regular start ups and movement) i have also recently re-acquired my old dirtbike which is the bike i want.

the bike is unregistered but will have no issue passing rego.
