new mk2 daily

ive ended up with another mk2 daily. sold the soarer, was a fun car but cost too much and got to the point where there were a few things that really needed fixing and i couldnt be bothered.

so i ended getting this mk2 1600 manual about a month ago. the bloke i bought it off was the 2nd owner and he had only had it a few months and bought it off an old lady (original owner). no rust at all. very good interior and clean motor/gbox. no oil leaks. also very original. it even came with the original owners manual.
apart from some damage in the right front quater and a small dent in the left rear its pretty straight body

how it was when i got her

one of the guys at work posing [:x)]

the tyres were close to origional too. got some new tyres put on some jellybean rims i had laying around. the front struts were falling apart so i got my hands on some 2ltr ones fitted them. also removed the stripes down the side and gave the engine a tune up. runs good now
the steering rack is also unserviceable so i have a quick rack on its way. also have some rear leafs with new superpro bushes which i will fit.

new wheels and front struts fitted

cheers

yeah its a pretty bad driveway when it rains.
new leafs are fitted, rear end is much nicer now. also fitted a new quick rack as the old standard rack had heaps of play.

some more photos after a little tidy up

Nice daily:-) A bit late now, but there are kits you can buy to rebush the steering rack. What sort of leaf springs did you fit?

    cheers.

ive fitted quick racks to all my eskys, i like them alot more.

springs are just the ones i pulled out of my green esky. not sure what they are but have an extra leaf and are a bit stiffer than standard ones
