Master Cylinder thread size?

Hi

Just in the process of refitting a standard m/c back to a mk2 escort and am wondering what the thread on the outlet's is? Metric fine or unf? The metric tube nuts I have seem loose on the single outlet but ok on the pair and unf seems tight in the paired outlet. M/c appears to be a Girling.

Hope someone can help

Cheers

I believe the mk2 factory bits were 10mm. Rule of thumb is a 3/8 unf will screw into a 10mm hole and rattle around and strip if you try and tighten it. A 10mm metric is slightly larger and will not screw into a 3/8 unf hole.

    Thanks for the response
Having done a bit of reading on the turbosport forum i think the m/c uses a combination of m12x1 for the rear circuit and m10x1 for the front at the master-cylinder.

I'll confirm once i've picked up some fittings to assist others if it comes up.
