OMP steering wheels
Hey Guys,
What does everyone make of these steering wheels???
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170637145301&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
I've seen them on a few race Escorts and they seem to look pretty tidy, however this ones black suede not vinyl/leather. I'm kind of going for the all vinyl look on the interior at the moment and I'm wondering if anyone has installed one of these and how they look (with original door cards and centre console etc.)
I guess I don't want to whack it on and go, "ah feck, the suede was a real mistake"... I appreciate the look of it and i'm into the dish, just wondering about that suede lol.
Thanks in advance

Just like the elbows on your grandfathers suede jacket, it'll smooth of eventually, a good excuse to drive it more.[88] On a serious note, I think it'll look fine.

I got mine from Murf on turbosport with both a standard boss and a quick release one.

If I remember, i'll take a shot of the omp wheel next to a standard one. It's not much different.

UNDERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. OVERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the rear. HORSEPOWER is how fast you hit the wall. TORQUE is how far you take the wall with you.

I bought one of the OMP knock offs as well. It does sit a lot closer but I like it as it gives it more of a rally style. Other than the yellow stripe not being the straightest it looks great. Matt

Mate, make sure you replace the bolts that came with it. My ones used a really small hex head bolt and they stripped very easily even with me being very careful. I had to use a bolt extractor to get them out. I replaced them with 5mm hex head bolts from Super Crap Auto for $5.00 Cheap insurance. Matt
