Power Brake Assist Question

Ok this might sound a silly question:

Where the vaccum hose comes from the inlet manifold to the brake booster and the valve to flow air one way,
is the air to go to the booster and not be able to go back to the inlet manifold?
My Valve has an arrow on it saying engine but I think it was going the wrong way?
please advise,
thanks
Jim

    Hi

It allows air to be drawn from your booster - hence the name "vacuum booster".
