Granada Cosworth
Hi from Adelaide. Just found this forum and thought I'd share my pride and joy. It's a 1992 Granada Scorpio Cosworth V6 24V. The auto box has gone and in it's place is a T5 5 speed. The engine is pretty much standard apart from being de-catted (as it's pre Aug '92 it didn't need cats in the UK) and it passed all the tests it needed to to be registered here. It came with me when I moved here 7 odd years ago. (the wife insisted we brought the kids so I insisted we brought the Cosworth!) It's used daily and has the baby seat in the back for my youngest. There aren't too many of them over here, I know of one in WA and I've already got first refusal if he ever sells it  and an older hatchback was up for auction a while ago, I'd like to know of any others anywhere. I'll try and post a picture of it now, if it doesn't appear, I'll have to get my 16 year old to do it for me![:I] Cheers for now.

That is a beauty. Neat on the outside and in the engine bay...Go the Cossie!

Sorry for the quality but these were taken on my mobile but you get the idea.  These are the front seats. They are actually from the later Frog eye model Scorpio and I prefer them to the originals. They are 10 way electric (Forward/ backwards, front up/down, back up/down, recline and lumber in/out) and they are heated.

And these are the rears (minus baby seat). They are also electric and recline into the boot area.  Cheers to Lincoln for adding it to the Cossie register too. Much appreciated mate. Cheers.

Looks "luxurious"....How about the Dash and ICE?
I googled Granada Scorpio, one usually results in the later model which does not look as good as yours externally...

 Here is the dash, typical '90's style, roundish square with a bit of 'real' fake plastic wood! I still think it's a nice place to be. Home made gear knob as I kept breaking the light weight shop bought ones, I found a lump of old steel in my shed and drilled and tapped a hole in it, much better feel now.

 And of course it wouldn't be a Cosworth without a 280 KPH speedo! I would love to say that I've seen that kind of speed but even when she was running really well I only ever dared take her to around the 130 - 135 MPH (217 KPH) mark (obviously on a closed and private road...I would not do that kind of thing on a road by Heathrow airport racing a mate in an Integra type R! No way officer! ) According to Ford and a couple of people who have tried it is good for about 145 MPH but thats with the auto box which does have a higher top gear. It also has a 'graphic warning display' (the outline of the car) which let's you know of any bulb failures, door/boot lid ajar or ice warnings. As you can see in the pic of the dash, the ICE is pretty tame. It had a Pioneer head unit (with tape!) when I bought it 13-14 years ago and it only went pop 2 years ago so my beloved wife got me a new Pioneer head unit (with CD!) to replace it. It also had (and still has) a 6 disc multi changer in the boot and now has ipod and usb connections. All the original speakers are still there and untouched as I think they are pretty damn good as they are, maybe I'll upgrade as and when they go pop too! Hope you like it as much as I do! Cheers.

Nice! Got any engine shots? What gearbox are you using? Does yours still run the EGR system or have you removed it? I'm still in 2 minds about taking mine off as some say its no problem to remove as its only there for emission control but others say it stuffs things up???
