fuel injection
some pics of a jackson telecamit injection sys for a v6 i scored, pump, filter, lines and all the other stuff, very interesting. A bit archaic but perhaps i could computerise and use it - otherwise an interesting paper weight!

Very interesting I have had a look at doing a injection conversion but with little success. The guys in south africa and westwood in uk do it but all they want to do is sell there setups.. Very expensive so its put me off. If you could get the right size throttle bodies and computer management systems the rest would fall in place Im hoping.. Sounds like a job for JR..

The mechanical setups used on speedway cars in the 80's that Ive read are really only good for just that. The reason being they work perfectly under full throttle but idling around town they dont work unless auto with 4000rpm stall converter..Back to drawing board..

ill take it down to the local efi shop - apparently theres one that specializes in conversions etc. i would like it if they can give me a computerised alternative - ill be doing a lot of k's in it. but if its going to be too much hassle ill ditch the whole idea.
i have the edis setup as well (mejajolt) the sensor and toothed wheel are being fitted to that pulley JR
yes - oval port manifold and im running d ports - a bit of chiselling to do i guess....
interested that you're running the whole mechanical set up - (see above) if just didn't think it would be reliable .....

Just swap to oval port heads I think I have 2 old ones still from your last clear out you can have back. There is a guy in Dandenong who is very good at retro fitting efi "Bits of Italy" off Dunn Cres

thanks JR - i still had a couple so theyre in being re vamped! the injection manifold and throttle bodies are in - converting to a computerised system - motec - will install a base plates under the throttle bodies to mount fuel rails and injectors (late model ford). Bit of a hassle - had to re arrange the throttle bodies to fit the system in - meaning the back one is now at the front and vic versa - now the front 2 injectors intrude into the space the distributor occupied. Lucky i had the edis on the way - the distributor can go anyway. But to fit the edis wheel onto the harmonic balancer - the power steering had to go. Sooo, put together an electric system... this unit is out of a corica b (GMH uk) it comes with its own ecu - which is operated via turning a knob on the dash - u can make it work harder or softer - as u like ..

heres a pic of the ecu im using.. and the power steering now grated into the original column as u can see - the whole assembly bolts up to the original mounting points. I dont have any other pics at the mo but the unit fits up under the dash nicely - the motor actually feeds thru one of the original arpetures on the pedal box - although i had to do some judicious mods to the box to the feed it in... so now ive delted the fan (in favor of a 16inch spal), the water pump ( in favor of a craig davis electric unt and associated driver) and the power steering. I only have the alternator left (but will eventually put air cond in.
