1966 Ford Cortina GT

Reluctantly I am putting my 1966 Mk1 GT Cortina on the market as I have to many projects on the go, and not enough time for her. [8~2]


1700cc pre-crossflow engine (included in the sale is the matching numbers short motor) ,

120E Block
1600cc Escort crank
83.5mm pistons
Balanced,
Baffled sump,
GT head with larger valves and double valve springs,
Mild cam,
Scorcher distributor,
Twin 40DCOE Webber carburettors,
Electric fuel pump,
Pacemaker Extractors,
2” sports exhaust


Formula Ford spec clutch,
Rebuilt 4 speed,
Rebuilt rear axle 3.9:1


Capri V6 front brakes,
Rebuilt GT drums,
Braided brake hoses


Adjustable coil overs on front with 195lb King Spings,
Reset GT leaves on rear with extra leaf,
Koni adjustable shocks front and rear,
Selby Double front sway bar,
Nolathane bushing throughout


MkII GT steering wheel
Superlite 15x6,
Goodyear Eagle F1 195/50x15


RWC supplied and 8 months registration if sold in Victoria

Mechanically she is in excellent condition, but...... ·
Rust bubbles both left hand doors and the driver’s door, driver’s side wheel arch, at base of rear window.
Body is in fair condition.
Interior is intact with no rips or tears in seats.
