Mk2 Panhard Rod with drop tank

just wondering if the rallye design style panhard rod kit works with a std mk2 escort drop tank. looks like it may be a tight fit

Cheers

    Hi Mish (Zac?),

Any panhard rod is a very tight fit between the diff and the drop tank. Even if you clear the tank you are likley to foul on either the inlet and outlet's on the tank, or the tank brackets that hang from the floor of the boot when on full bump.

The Rally Design tower is sort of made to fit in one particular place on the left hand side of the car, and if you put it there, the panhard will almost definately hit the tank, as the rod then goes on quite a diagonal across the car to clear the hump in the back of the diff housing and fits hard up against the diff on the drivers side.

I actually made a tower to come off the back of my diff on which I mounted the drivers side rose joint. This allowed me to run the panhard rod almost parallel with the diff housing instead of on the diagonal, but alas, still not enough room to fit the drop tank safely.

I ended up just putting in a side tank.
