increased idle with brake on????

hey guys since I rebuilt my motor (pinto)whenever im at lights with one foot on the brake and 1 on the clutch my carll idle up from like 5-600 to 15-1600 what's the go? something with the booster i think but what, ive gotno idea

    Sounds like a ruptured diaphram within the booster allowing the engine to suck air instead of just providing a vacuum source.
