Vinyl roof

Chaps,

I'm giving serious consideration to putting a vinyl roof on my Capri. Has anyone done this recently. Could you tell me which is the best / closest to original supplier ? also did you come across any pitfalls when doing it that I need to be aware of ? is it the kind of thing which can easily be done at home - I presume it is glued onto the roof ?

regards Paul

I got mine from east kent trim supplies in uk. The pattern seems same as original to me. Ive been meaning to put up my pictures of doing this and writing about it. Its not hard to do when you know how.

    Hi Ron,

Id be very interested to see your write up on it.
BTW - your car was the inspiration for this :-)

    Thanks Paul

Not my personal taste, but a capri is the car you always dreamed of. I guess any non reversible mods are fine if they float your boat, remember the car statrted life as a delete so has already had one spec change.

I got my vinyl roof for the 3000E from East Kent, cost about $200 landed, I had a quote of $750 supplied and fitted over here so the kit was good value. It comes pre cut and sewn. You will need the finishing trims and a giy in the UK sells these NOS for about 180 pounds a set
