Time warp thread.
I was packing up some stuff today as my wife has renovations starting on the house next week (I'd rather spend the money on an RS3100, obviously
) and I found an old exercise book I kept when I was building my first Capri.
I thought it might be fun to pretend the internet existed back in the late 1980's. [:p]
It started like this in August 1987 -
1969 GT 1600 with a pinto fitted and plenty of rust - $1200.
Spent months bare metaling the body, new metal was needed in both floors, fronts of both sills, A pillars, rear wheel arches and boot wells. Paid a nice Italian fellow who worked for a mates brother
$800 to repair all this, working on weekends in my dads garage. And he did an awesome job!
