Mk1 Escort oil light

I was moving the Escort around today after its drive to Sydney on the weekend. The red oil light stayed on after starting. I checked the oil, plenty in there. Shining a torch into the filler and there was oil up the top. The switch was still plugged in.

Could it just be a problem with the pressure switch, or could is the pump on the way out, or maybe something else completely?

Oil pressure is the yellow light.
red is the alternator light, check the push on terminal at the back of the alternator, hopefully thats it, not the best design.
