RSOC (Aust) Concourse and Display Day

Hi All,

The RS Owners Club (Aust.) are having their annual Concourse and Display Day at Parramatta Park in western Sydney on Sunday November 14.

This is our Club's big day out. So members, families, friends and non members are all warmly welcome.

Guarranteed to be some very interesting classic cars on display this year. Some not ever previously seen in Australia.

For more details check out:

http://rsownersclubaust.com.au/Display.html

Good idea to keep a regular eye on the website for updates and any late changes.

ta, Peter.

    Hello Sean,

You had better start polishing your already overly shiny radiator cap right now.

I will do the same! [88]

I had Dr. Detail here today doing the outside, which is now very shiney. I will tackle the engine bay (including radiator cap) this weekend.

I'll have some shiny parts to sell there on the day. Does that compare with 2 shiny RS2000's?

If anyone wants anything specific drop me a line and I will make sure I have it there for you.

Now we've done it....Sean has inspired me!

Both myself and BabyBlue (the Escort panel van) have been nominated by Mr President as The Official Drinks Courier for the day (non alcoholic of course. [}:)])

So, today in preparation I though I had better give BabyBlue a quick wash for the all important day.

Well that has opened a can of worms hasn't it.

Today first a quick wash (1.5 hours), then I realised how dirty the van really was, so then a quick machine buff and rewash (3 hours total), a quick fix up of interior (1.3 hours) before The Mrs (The Social Director) called it stumps because she had an outing planned.

So, tommorrow, I will continue to detail the interior (expected 2.5 hours), brush touch ups of paint work (0.5 hours), clean all glass (0.5 hours), and full polish (2.0 hours). Maybe because christmas is getting close an engine oil and filter change, brake fluid full flush and change, check gearbox and diff oil levels, flush and replace engine coolant, clean out glove box, check brakes, adjust hand brake, replace worn drivers door hinge pins (which I have been trying to do for 2 years now).

So not sure if I will get time to polish the radiator cap after all.

    Hello All,

Thank you to everyone who attended the show.

We all had a wonderful day, although I wouldn't recommend having a school reunion (30 years) on the Saturday night, and then a display day on the Sunday! I bailed the school reunion at 5:50am (being called names because I was leaving "too early") and then turned up at the display day a few hours later at 8am.

Just wished we could have a bit more time so that we can say hello to more people. There always seem too many preparations and duties to do.

I agree it was an extremely hot day. Definitely a good idea to reschedule the date from November to late winter before the spring rains. This would help save a few sunburns, not only on the people, but also on the cars.

We will be loading some photos onto the RSOC Aust website very soon.

Yep, was a top day in the new location, albeit a bit hot. It was great to finally see the new Focus RS in the metal... and there were 5 on display! Plenty of other impressive machines there too.

I am still going through my pics but will post some soon.
