Smokey pinto!

been meaning to ask this for a while now, but my PCV vents alot of smokey vapours, and my exhaust is quiet smokey...

im not going all out and doing a motor strip down just yet, but are there any bandaids to a smokey motor?

definately suspect rings as it smokes a fair bit under throttle. decelleration is OK.

its got 20w something in it at the moment, and half a bottle of stop smoke... which has helped, cuz thats all i could think of.

cheers!

Free revving in the car park will snap the top piston ring into iddi little pieces.
Or valve stem seals if it's blowing white smoke out the exhaust.

Just bite the bullet and pull it down. Band aids now may turn what might just be a quick re-ring now into a major rebuild later on. Besides its a good excuse to add a couple of tweeks like a mild cam...
