Backing Plates for rear drums

Hi
Are the rear backing plates for escort drums all the same
ie 1.6 and 2L ?
also what are the drum sizes for 2L V 1.6 again.

TIA
Emil

Early Mk2 used 8" drums, whereas later ones used 9" ones...

    Early Mk2 1.3 used 8" drums and 20.64mm cyls...
Late 2L used 9" drums and 19.05mm cyls...
Not 100% sure on all 1.6, but late 1.6 used 9" drums the same as a 2Lt and 17.??mm cyls which are the most commonly available cyls....
Not sure about the early or mid Mk2 1.6 engined cars....

I use 20.64mm cyls in 9" drums on motorkhana or Autocross cars for a bit better rear bias, but on the road they will lock the rears first...
