boot lock

I have somehow manage to f**k up the boot lock on my escort, i have NO idea how i can fix it or what i have done to it. all i know is it doesnt catch or lock . i have rubber boot clips. do u think this will be enough to hold it?

    If it has all of a sudden just stopped shutting, then it is quite possible that the spring in the lock has broken and not allowing the lock to work, unbolt the three bolts and take it out and see if the spring is broke, try and get a new lock "not the barrel"

    yeah i have had abit of a look, but i could see anything, im going to get take it to a workshop and get them to fix it. i cant fix something i dont know.

    They are a bit week ---- i rebuilt mine but after 3 years it was back to any key being able to opon it------ so i fitted a house lock on it--- its good and ease to change the lock and key --- i will try and post some pic's of how to do it ---
