what do you goys do when you cut the
rectangle out with the cross member
in a mk 2?

    Do you mean what do you do with the part of the floor you have to cut? I just turned it around the other way and put it back in.

    Or do you mean what do you do with the crossmember?

    If you mean the crossmember then I just made an adapter that bolts to the standard crossmember mounts in the body and drops down 40mm (I think) and has another piece of steel running off the drop down with bolt holes further back, this is where you bolt the crossmember back up to.

    My turn to guess.......

    If you mean what to do with the crossmember/tunnel strengthening brace when cutting out the gear lever hole for a T9 then most people box it in to some degree. I believe the original RS's didn't bother with that.
