Overheating

Hi
Bit of a drama with my Focus 2003 Model Hatch 2.0 litre auto. Actually I had an earlier problem which p..... me off extremely. The first problem was that I had to have my front right hand side brake replaced at 26,000 km. Ford did a service and picked up the problem and charged me in excess of $700 for the service. They wanted to charge me another $700 to replace the brake. I refused and found another mechanic who did it for me for $370. Should have gone to him for the service too. Ptah...

Now I am having radiator problems. First occurrence about 6 weeks ago. Driving along, checked my instrument panel to see that radiator needle was over as far as it would go into the red zone. Stopped. Called RACQ. The RACQ guy was a bit mystified and told me I should consult someone who would do a pressure test on the car. (Having just had a very expensive experience I didn't go to see about the pressure test.) In the meantime RACQ refilled the radiator and no more problems until last Thursday. Same problem. I stopped and went to have lunch, came back and did exactly what the RACQ mechanic had done and refilled the radiator. About 6km to get home, but no problems. This morning (Saturday) I checked the radiator and it was nearly empty. I could see no water on the garage floor. I sure am hoping that it is not a head gasket problem. Any ideas, guys?

if the water isnt leaking outside the car it must be leaking inside. if it is the head gasket the oil will look milky, or it could be a welsh plug thats gone.
