Wiring in a Tacho

Ok, electricals just ain't close to being one of my forte's.

Got a 6dial dash complete with tacho. It has one of those ??pulse sensor thingys to detect the current to the distributor.

Plus also a Bosch distributor with one of those Bestek IG100 electronic conversions.

Also, someone suggested I should check whether the Bestek required a ballast (think that is what he called it) to drop the voltage to ??9 or 10volts - how do I tell, theres nothing on the coil or reluctor about Volts???

Any help on how I wire the tacho in would be a great help.

Thanks
Ian

There is a black wire next to your dash dials plug, this blak wire has a male & female bullet plug, simply unplug it and plug in the white tacho wire completing the circuit. it doesnt matter what dizzy your running...unless its a coil pack, then the tacho wont work!
