Wossner piston rings

Im fitting wossner pistons to my n/a cossie engine. I noticed that the top ring has a fine chamfer on one side only.

Does anyone know if this goes up or down.

Cheers

I don't know about wossner piston rings but usually a new set of rings comes with each set of rings seperated - ie: tops in one bag, seconds in another bag and an instruction sheet or on the box telling you which way they go. May be a long shot though.....

it sounds like its there to stop the ring from hitting any ridge that may be at the top of the bore ---
