Handbrake cable.

My handbrake cable seems to have stretched a bit. If I use one of those clamps that effectively shorten it will this pass a roadworthy?

Hi Ron, it's good to see that your car is nearly finished. If you are planning on taking it to the next All Ford Day I'm sure you would be welcomed to join us in the Capri Club of Q.L.D display. As for the hand brake cable, I have had four mobile safety's done all they checked was the operation only, not one person looked at the cable.

IIRC you can put a nut in front of the pin hole to space the thread away which may look a bit more factory than a clamp

    Thanks JR that should work.
Ray thanks, sure I would like to come to the all ford day with the capri. Still lots of little jobs to do that seem to take forever and of course once its on the road will it be reliable? We will see.
