Mk1 fibreglass bonnet (sold)

Trying to clean up the garage.

Selling the biggest item first. Mk1 f/glass bonnet with frame and threaded inserts to bolt standard hinges and bonnet catch. I have tidied up the frame underneath so that it looks like a standard steel item.

This is one i bought off Geoff Wade, $600 new i think.

Im selling for $300

    Just weighed it, 5.5kg.

It has a thread for the bonnet catch, but as always with fibreglass it its best to lock down the bonnet with pins.

Bonnet has not been painted, still in white gelcoat.

the regs say I need 2 separate bonnet devices so I would need to keep the latch (I have some pins from Gartrac to fit also).

Will look into freight cost but probably will be huge.

    Why you not using it?

No they are 1 system but they are 2 devices. E.g if 1 somehow breaks the other is still there to hold it.

I guess as with all things CAMS there is a degree of interpretation but I see the two bonnet bins as being 1 system so therefore a separate system (eg original catch) must also be used. [x2x]
