fuel tank

Hi everyone, could someone till me,how many litres does a mk2 fuel tank hold....

    Under boot floor drop tank from a mk2 is rated to hold 52 litre's but they normally hold about 48 litre's in reality.
    As for in boot side tank i have no idea what they hold,probably the same as a mk1 in boot tank.

    Try 55lts for the drop tank, and from dead empty 56lt - With no dints...

    Thanks guys I wasn't shore but thought it was around 40Lts we do a lot of track work with the car,and am always filling the little pig up with juice....But thats racing for you.[:x)]

    The side tank is supposed to hold 38 litres

    The side tank on a MK1 holds 9 gallons (as per the ford Mechanics data guide). when you convert to ltrs (multiply by 4.546) you get a capacity of 40.914 ltrs (if you could actually fill it to the top) . I'm assuming the mk2 tank is the same.

    Early Mk2 had a side tank within the boot that is 38-40Lts (depending upon which literature you read) and the later (post 77) had a drop tank under the floor that was 55Lts...
